Estudió cerámica y esmalte sobre metal en la Escuela de Artes Aplicadas de la Universidad de Chile (1962-1972). Participó en el Taller Boyera, en el grupo Cono 10 y en el Taller Huara-Huara en Chile. Prosiguió su formación en el Crafts Center, Universidad de California (1973-1974). En 1975 se establece en Venezuela. Fue docente en talleres de cerámica para niños en la Fundación Mendoza (1980-1983) y en talleres para adultos en la CANTV (1982-1990). Cabe destacar su participación en el Salón Nacional de las Artes del Fuego de 1975 a 1982 (Valencia, Edo. Carabobo) y en exposiciones colectivas como &quot;Ocho ceramistas&quot; (Galería El Muro, Caracas, 1976), &quot;Cerámica funcional&quot; (Galería Terracota, Valencia, Edo. Carabobo, 1981), &quot;Los sonidos del barro&quot; (Galería Barro y Fuego, Caracas, 1986), &quot;Tres ceramistas&quot; (Galería Cerro, Santiago de Chile, 1989), &quot;Encuentro con la arcilla&quot; (Galería Escuela Moderna de Música, Santiago de Chile, 1991) y la II Bienal Barro de América (CAMLB, 1995). Ha desarrollado diferentes vertientes que van desde su trabajo utilitario (vasijas, platos, teteras) con el uso del gres a alta temperatura, según la influencia de Warren Mackenzie, hasta propuestas con quemas reductoras.
