Biografía

Studied arts at the National School of Plastic Arts in Caracas 1946 and has worked in the ateliers of renowned artist like Pedro Centeno and Francisco Narvaez. Continued her academic activity in 1950 at L'ecole de Beaux Arts in Paris with painting and drawing at L'academie Julien in Paris.

LAVIE has participated in many individual and collective exhibitions all around the world like Caracas, New York, Mexico, Paris, Japan, Italy, Bulgary and Monaco.

Famous art critic Gaston Diehl said in Paris 1979 : "In Lavie the impetus of her potent temperament shines like bright fire" "Through the rich display of color triumphs a majestic lyricism, which for itself keeps a deep relation with an authentic human sense."

Art critic Peran Ermini said in Caracas 1980: "The center of interest is the dynamic play of the color schemes and the lines that move on a white background, where the vivid color and accents build the forms.

Now after a long pause in her public appearance, Lavie will show a sample of her new works "Le Cirque" from June 18 to August 15th at the Rachmaninoff gallerie located at Le Richemond Hotel in Geneve, Switzerland.
